How to apply Toppik:

Step 1: Towel or blow-dry your hair, or allow it to air-drycompletely. Toppik should be used only on dry hair.

Step 2: Hold the Toppik container 2-3 inches above the areas to bethickened. For targeting small spots, you may bring the container rightup to the area.

Step 3: Shake Toppik liberally over desired areas with the bottleopening facing completely downward. Don’t worry about any fibers fallinginto surrounding hair, since they will simply disappear.

Step 4: If you cannot see your back-of-the-head area in the mirrorduring application, use your other hand to guide you to the areas to beenhanced. If necessary, apply Toppik with your head down, and look inthe mirror afterwards. Fill in further as needed. You will soon learn toapply Toppik effectively with only an occasional glance at the mirroror with no mirror at all.

Step 5: In frontal areas, spread your thumb and forefinger and placeyour hand on the top of the forehead below the hairline to keep strayfibers from falling onto forehead and eyes. For best results use the HairlineOptimizer.

Step 6: Pat your hair to disperse Toppik fibers throughout the area. Usean open, plastic, non-bristle brush or any comb to style your hair asyou wish. You will notice that your hair is much easier to style withthe added bulk of the Toppik fibers.

Step 7: If coverage is not complete, add more Toppik and pat or brushuntil your hair looks thick and full. For best results, lightly apply FiberHold Spray tolockthefibers into place. Close the container and store away frommoisture when not in use.

Step 8: For best results use Fiber HoldSpray for added durability and a finished touch.

I just sprinkle Toppiks on the area that looks thin, give it a gentle pat and then use hair spray. The effect is thicker, fuller hair. Great! Works even better when you mix 2. After shampooing or rinsing hair, dry hair and then powder thinning areas or parts. I mix light and medium brown colors together to better match my hair color. I would give it 5 stars if they came in more shades so I didn't have to mix, but I love the product.
